Every gift grows
twice as deep
All gifts matched up to $25,000. Every dollar you give is doubled.
“It’s everything I ever wished for in a small school — a caring, inclusive community where kids are seen, loved, and learning in ways that make them light up.”
Headwaters Community Farm and Academy is a mom-founded nonprofit and K–8 microschool in Kane County where children learn in the world, not just about it. Our teachers, Mrs. Laura and Mr. Kazmo, lead hands-on, project-based learning that connects curiosity, community, and care.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re humbled and deeply grateful to share that a generous donor who believes profoundly in our mission has pledged to match every dollar you give up to $25,000.
Their belief in what Headwaters stands for — joyful, nature-based learning rooted in belonging and stewardship — allows your gift to go twice as far. Together, we can grow something that lasts for generations: a school that helps children feel safe, seen, and inspired to explore the world around them.

This fall, students built forts from fallen branches to study shelter design and teamwork, a simple moment that captured everything Headwaters stands for: curiosity, creativity, and joy in nature.
Your gift keeps those moments alive, and with the match, your generosity grows twice as deep.
Your donation doesn’t stop at the school gate.
It ripples outward to our partners and beloved community resources — Oli Gardens, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Kane County Forest Preserves, St. Charles Park District, SciTech, and more — where students learn to give, grow, and care for the land and their neighbors.
We’re profoundly thankful to the donor who made this match possible.
A family who believes that children deserve a school where learning feels alive, where teachers are trusted, and where kindness takes root.
Their generosity reminds us that community can transform everything.
