Kim Vasil, On Site Coordinator, Assistant Teacher
Kimberly Vasil, affectionately known as Ms. Kim, brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and enthusiasm to the Headwaters community. With a background in Montessori education spanning multiple age groups, Kim has served as an assistant in both Primary and Elementary classrooms, worked as a Montessori Directress in Toddler and Primary programs, and even owned her own Primary Montessori school. She has also completed Montessori coursework through the American Montessori Society (AMS) at Seton Montessori Institute in Clarendon Hills, Illinois.
Kim's professional journey has taken her beyond the classroom as well. She holds a degree in International Business with a concentration in Spanish from Westminster College in Pennsylvania and previously worked as an international flight attendant for American Airlines. Her diverse experiences have given her a love of travel, an appreciation for different cultures, and a unique perspective that she enjoys sharing with her students.
Outside of Headwaters, Kim lives in St. Charles with her husband, Danny, and their twin rescue Goldendoodles, Coco and Frida. She is the proud mom of three daughters, Kristiana, Kayleen and Karina. She enjoys dancing, swimming, walking, decorating, boutique shopping, and spending time with family and friends. A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she also loves staying active and involved in her community through several philanthropic organizations, especially Alpha Gamma Delta Alumnae Club of the Fox Valley.
What Kim enjoys most about her work at Headwaters is the opportunity to spend meaningful time with her students, build relationships, and share in their learning and growth. She brings warmth, energy, and a genuine love of children to the classroom, and we are so happy to have her as part of the Headwaters family!
